The main subject of Environmental Education is to examine the surrounding area. It is obvious that there is a direct relation between Geo-sciences and Environmental Education. But Geology does not exist as a subject in the form of the Greek school curriculum yet. A lot of misconceptions about geographical-geological themes have been recorded by researchers. Also, a shortage of knowledge about geological processes has been noticed. Environmental Education should be the solution, as it could incorporate a lot of geographical-geological issues in school projects. Furthermore, GIS could become a useful and effective didactic tool that will help even more in the pursuit of the general aims of Environmental Education. In this article a qualitative and quantitative analysis about thematology of Environmental Education schools project is presented and about the possibilities and prospect for studding geological topics through Environmental Education are discussed.
