Comparison between guided inquiry and traditional teaching approach of ionic bonding

A teaching approach of ionic bonding, which is based on the guided inquiry method, is proposed in the present study. In order to investigate its effectiveness, the method was applied in a group of students from the10th grade of Secondary Education (experimental group). Another group of students (control group) was taught with the traditional teaching method. The same written test was used for the comparison of the two methods. The results showed supremacy of guided inquiry method versus traditional method of teaching.
