The project is a cross-disciplinary approach to the life of Pythagoras, his historical and philosophical context, his music theory and of course to the Pythagorean Theorem and its applications in physics and other areas of the everyday life. The internal connection between mathematics and physics, and the links of these two disciplines with non scientific activities should be realized by the pupils. This is one of the basic aims of this project, which is addressed to 15 years old pupils and is proposed to be carried out with the "project method". Cooperation, research in several sources including internet, production and presentation of synthetic works are foreseen in the proposed scenario, which is accompanied by working sheets, extra material related to the activities and multimedia applications. An important part of the project consists of activities in which educational software and e-communication platform are used. Except physics and mathematics other disciplines such as history, philosophy and music are concerned.
