Feminist philosophy of natural sciences studies the ways in which gender has influence on the conceptualization of scientific knowledge, analyses the practices of scientific inquiry, and attempts to justify the feminist philosophy of science in itself. Feminist criticism is interested in defining the proper roles of social and political values in scientific inquiry, evaluating ideals of objectivity and rationality, and reforming structures of epistemic authority. Τhe present paper examines the character of these changes and it inquiries whether these are of a social or and a cognitive kind.
