In an ever changing world, the environmental education of pupils, students and pre-service teachers should not just be confined with the sensitization or the mechanistic attitude towards the environmental problems, but mainly provide them with the ability to comprehend the way economy, society, science and technology create, explain and cope with these problems. Having as a criterion the above mentioned fundamental fact, the present paper suggests the study of acid rain environmental problem, based on a didactical model which, on the one hand, focuses on the connection of the facts conduced in various levels of analysis, and on the other, on the historical-social frame which is formed according to the human factor. For the development of the educational scenario, which was designed based on the above didactical model we took advantage of the possibilities offered by the current computational simulation technology.
