The management of the urban waste is a problem for the societies. Our country has to turn to contemporary ways of processing waste in order to reduce the quantity of urban waste which goes to the landfill area.
In this paper we present an educational material for the management of waste product and for the facility of mechanical recycling and composting waste (E.M.A.K. - Ano Liossia). This educational material aims to teach our students that all scrap heaps pollute and must be closed as soon as possible and also that there are alternative ways of management of urban waste, like the one in the plant of E.M.A.K. - Ano Liossia. This educational material constitutes a proposal to the teachers who teach Environmental Education and consists of various units. It is primarily targeting the pupils of the last class of the elementary school and early high school. All exercises can be adapted to the age and level of the students.
